The made in India sedan is available in C200, C220d, and C300d variants
The German automaker has launched the new C-Class in India. Here is the variant wise price list (ex-showroom)
C200: Rs 55 lakh
C220d: Rs 56 lakh
C300d: Rs 61 lakh
Quoted the baby S-Class it stands up to its name and is packed with features and offers best in class legroom. Bookings have commenced and can be done at a premium of Rs 50,000 for the C200 and C220d followed by the top-spec C300d later.
Launched globally almost a year ago, the latest-gen Mercedes gets sharper styling, advanced features and more cabin space, thanks to the increased wheelbase. Design-wise, it flaunts a new dynamic-looking front grille and a sharper two-piece tail lamp unit. Inside, the two-tone interior looks clean and modern thanks to a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 9.5-inch infotainment screen that comes as standard.
Features include an optional 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 11.9-inch infotainment screen, head-up display, OTA updates, ambient lighting and rear-axle steering. Safety features include active distance assist, active steering assist, 360-degree camera, traffic sign assist, belt tensioners, airbags and more.
The C-Class is offered in petrol and diesel powertrains both with the mild-hybrid assist. The C200 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, while the C220d and C300d are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. The C200 boasts a total of 204PS and 300Nm. On the other hand, the C220d offers 200PS and 440Nm. The C300d with the same powertrain is tuned to produces more power and delivers 265PS and 550Nm. All engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox and with the mild hybrid assist gets additional 20PS and 200Nm.
The new C-Class comes in strong and will challenge segment rivals like BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Volvo S60.
