• 2022 Range Rover launched at Rs. 2.32 crore onwards

The fifth-gen Range Rover is available SE, HSE, Autobiography and First Edition trims

Land Rover has announced the launch of the latest iteration of Range Rover in India. It is based on JLR’s Flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA-Flex) platform. The luxury SUV will be available in both Standard and Long Wheelbase body styles with four, five, and seven-seat options (exclusive to Long Wheelbase variant). It will be exclusively available in a Sunset Gold Satin finish, with five exterior colours to choose from. The First Edition will be available for a period of one year from production.The exterior has minimalistic design with LED headlamps and the rear features a unique new boat tail design with a split tailgate. The taillights are encased in a blackened panel which are hidden until lit.

 Inside it gets a 13.7-inch instrument cluster with Pivi Pro system, a 13.1-inch infotainment system, and two 11.4-inch touch screen panels for the rear passenger. 

The premium SUV is offered in three powertrains that includes- two 3.0-litre hybrids (diesel and petrol) and one 4.4-litre petrol-powered V8. The 3.0-litre, straight-six diesel with 48V mild-hybrid unit produces 351PS and 700Nm, while the 3.0-litre, straight six petrol puts out 400PS and 550Nm and the 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine delivers 530PS and 750Nm. Land Rover claims the V8 will sprint to 100kmph in 4.6 seconds. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, with a low-range setting and low-speed off-road driving,

The 2022 Range Rover will compete against the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. Other pricey alternatives include the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
