The adventure motorcycle gets new colour options now

KTM has launched the 2022 250 Adventure at Rs 2.35 lakh ex-showroom. Bookings are live now at all KTM showrooms across the country with finance options starting at Rs 6,300. For 2022, the quarter-litre ADV gets two paint schemes- KTM Electronic Orange and KTM Factory Racing Blue.

The ADV gets a 14.5-litre tank with upswept front seats, LCD instrument cluster, LED tail light with indicators, though lighting could have been improved with LED headlamp instead of Halogen.

It features a lightweight, trellis frame with a bolt on sub-frame that is inspired from the Dakar’s KTM 450 Rally motorcycle. Adding to the off-roading capabilities, it gets 200mm of ground clearance with 170mm/177mm suspension travel on the front/rear along with adjustable windshield, high-set handlebar, skid plate and switchable ABS. It rides on 19/17-inch alloy wheels with dual-sport tyres.

The 250 Adventure shares its powertrain with the 250 Duke. Its 248cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit churns out 30PS and 24 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and ride modes.

Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd. said: “The 2022 KTM 250 Adventure is the travel-enduro motorcycle that appeals to a wide spectrum of bikers across the country. Thanks to its well-thought travel and adventure-focused characteristics, the KTM 250 Adventure is an accessible motorcycle that offers an enjoyable riding experience for daily tarmac commutes and weekend off road escapes.”

The KTM 250 Adventure now faces competition from the Benelli TRK 251. Based on the price and performance the Austrian motorcycle appears to have an upper hand over the Italian.
