It is the first sub-4 metre SUV to get a factory fitted CNG kit
Maruti Suzuki’s CNG lineup continues to get bigger as the Brezza sub-4 metre SUV becomes the latest to get a factory fitted CNG kit at prices starting from Rs 9.14 lakh, ex-showroom. It also marks a first in the sub-4 metre SUV segment as the Brezza is the only CNG offering here.

The main difference lies under the hood as the Brezza’s 1.5-litre petrol engine makes 88PS and 122Nm in CNG mode. Limited to a five-speed manual gearbox, the CNG offers up to 25.51km/kg of fuel efficiency compared to the standard petrol’s 20.15kmpl figure.
Features wise, it continues to be loaded with bits such as a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, electric sunroof, keyless push button start, height adjustable driver’s seat, and electric ORVMs.
With the addition of the Maruti Brezza S-CNG, it is pricier by Rs 95,000 over its petrol counterpart. It also becomes the 14th Maruti CNG model in its portfolio. While it doesn’t have any rivals in CNG guise, the standard version takes on the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and more.
